3. Modifying BCCH Frequency
a. Lock the BTS by applying the forced
handover procedure.
Command : ZEQS (CHANGE BTS ADMINISTRATIVE STATE)

lock> | <time limit> | <300 sec> def ] ... ;
Example :
ZEQS:BTS=24:L:FHO;
b. Lock the BCCH TRX. Identify the TRX by
the old BCCH frequency.
Command : ZERS (CHANGE TRANSCEIVER
AND RADIO TIME SLOT STATE)
ZERS:BTS=<BTS ID>,
TRX=<TRX ID>, <administrative state>;
Example :
ZERS:BTS=24,TRX=1:L;
c. Modify the BCCH frequency.
Command : ZERM (MODIFY
TRANSCEIVER AND RADIO TIME SLOT PARAMETERS)

ZERM:BTS=24,TRX=1:FREQ=37;
The system updates the data
related to the adjacent cells within the BSC according to the new BCCH
frequency.
d. Unlock the BCCH TRX.
